This is not a manicured show garden - its a living, breathing Waiheke island ecosystem. Come with your eyes and ears open and discover how we work with nature, not against it. Rainwater falls from the sky and becomes our water supply, worms work hard in the worm farm and provide organic worm tea for the plants and help to reduce household waste. The composting system is unique, and causes Simon the most excitement as he shares all the tips and tricks of this system.
Then there is the chicken house which also has a personality - cleverly built around a tree and known affectionally as the "Hen House Hilton"
Nothing from the garden or household goes to waste - everything is reused, recycled, and returned to the soil, helping to create the thriving ecosystem you will explore on the tour.
