Meet Simon - Owner of this Beautiful Property

Simon - Owner and gardener

After 50 years as a respected Veterinary practitioner in both farm and pet practice, Simon retired to Waiheke Island and immersed himself into his passion for gardening. Pouring this passion into nurturing and shaping this vibrant, living ecosystem, his knowledge is broad, practical, and generously shared.

Simon is also actively involved in the Garden to Table programme at the local Waiheke school - an initiative he cares about deeply.

Simon is a great believer and this is backed by science that shows time spent in gardens - engaging all our senses- can have a powerful effect on mental and physical health.

Guests will enjoy his gentle humour, relaxed banter and the stories behind the garden's evolution.

Meet Jane

Jane - Culinary Host

Jane brings over 30 years of hospitality experience, each chapter shaped by her creativity and love of people.

Her career includes founding a successful catering company in South Auckland, working for Nestle NZ leading culinary programmes and delivering their Cook for Life programme across schools in Auckland. Later on Jane went on to own and run the iconic Church Bistro in Hahei in the Coromandel, along with the local cafe.

After moving back to Waiheke Island two years ago, Jane is now working with Simon to combine their shared skills and create this new adventure.
